I love the holidays and I usually have everything completed by now but I'm a little late with my holiday decorating this year. This past week, I accompanied my daughter, driving two whole days, over 1,300 miles to Florida for her new job in West Palm. It was one of the hardest trips I ever made and not because of the length of the trip but because I knew that I would be flying home alone. This is the first Christmas that she won't be here with us and it won't be the same without her! I'm trying my best to get into the holiday spirit but it hasn't been easy. I finally finished decorating our home and my studio and I have to admit that decorating while a blizzard was taking place really did help! As you can see, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here! Andrea, these photos are for you!
Enjoy!
the last two photos were taken in my studio
Great Christmas decor! I'm sure your daughter appreciates seeing these pictures. It will make her feel like she's at home.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful! I'm so jealous of that gorgeous white snow! I don't have children, but have definitely learned that holidays -like life - evolve. Some seasons are more joyful than others. Just remember, that the joy you have in your heart can be felt by everyone you know, whether near or far. :)
ReplyDeleteIt definitely looks more like Christmas there than here in Florida! Love the pics! The house looks great and I'm glad to see Max helped! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! If I could ship a box of snow to you, Golden Girl, I would! We have too much of it here and it isn't even Christmas yet!
ReplyDeleteHey I can box up some snow for Andrea also! The temps in Florida have been just right for keeping snow cold lately!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed a look at your Christmas decorations Maryanne!
Thanks Pat! There was a cold front going through Florida when I was there last week but it felt wonderful to me - high 50s with sunshine. I haven't seen the sun for days here! I will be visiting Andrea quite a lot, especially during the winter!
